DARIUS AMIDI

The Improper Pig
Fort Mill, SC

Darius Amidi is the Director of Operations and Co-Owner of The Improper Pig, a fusion barbeque restaurant in Fort Mill, South Carolina that, along with The Pizza Peel Tap Room and The Flying Biscuit Café, is part of the Stomp Chomp & Roll Restaurant Group. It’s a unique organization that values community, recognizes the importance of social responsibility and engages as much as possible with neighbors and fellow business owners. It’s precisely why Darius and the Stomp Chomp & Roll Restaurant Group are on a selfless mission to spread their love and passion for what they do one meal, one laugh, one experience and one neighborhood at a time.

The Improper Pig is situated in a quaint South Carolina town that’s a stone’s throw from Charlotte, just across the border from the fast-growing North Carolina metropolis. And they’ve made it a priority to embrace their role as a contributing citizen to the area. For starters, they raise money to support the Downtown Co-Op of Fort Mill, an organization that runs events to help promote and sustain local downtown businesses, working towards building growth while still preserving the small-town charm. It’s become a lifeline for maintaining jobs and helping the economy of the area stay afloat.

But Darius’s efforts go beyond the downtown area, reaching out to the less fortunate in their surrounding communities. They generously donate to several non-profits and charities, including the Charlotte Women’s Shelter, as well as efforts to help homeless veterans. In addition, they work to fund education and assist young people as part of the company’s core causes, partnering with local schools and other organizations through fundraisers and in-kind donations.

With an organizational vision to intentionally spread love through everything they do, Darius lives the vision in his everyday life, demonstrating what it means to give of yourself, care deeply about the wellbeing of others and truly be a part of a community.
